Baniye Ki Dukan


Everyone likes to work in a BIG MNC, and are always encouraged and motivated to grab an offer from a MNC’s, of course anyone who is looking for a career in Job / as a salaried person will always be dreaming to be working in a BIG MNC.

How if such dream comes true and you get in to such a desired job but later realize that it’s working culture matches of that like of one nearby Patel’s Grocery Shop and employs are even required to ask for all small things for which they were free to take decision in previous organization.

Recently one of my friend came to my place for dinner, while sharing casual talks of career and job he shared some incidents occurred with him with his senior management which make me write this article.

He is working with this MNC for almost now 2 years and when we use to talk at earlier days he was very excited with the job and the role he was handling.

However, in his recent meeting with me he was not only discouraged but his overall interest in his work was lost, he further explained that this similar situation with most of his coluges        

He went on to explain how the things changed few months back when a senior management personal joined the organization.

The new senior was not his reporting officer but being in the senior position he started interfering in every activity of all the department. Earlier his interference was taken as input but slowly this interference grown in level that for every small thing they need to have his permission.

This was felt to other senior managers but were not able to do much.

The said the treatment of employees was becoming equivalent to those who were working in a Baniya Grocery shop like how a boy in baniya shop must show MRP of product to shop owner before he hands over the same to customer.

It was understood that every employee has his specific free space of work where they know what and how to interact with client /any other internal or external matter related to company.

But this interference had made everyone think again with continuing their career with the MNC and in Last 2 years he explained 25% of employees left for this reason and many are further planning.

I consoled him and said not to take the decision in haphazard manner.

I concluded that because you have given the right to interfere someone in your work area they are now controlling everything you do.  

Management at more senior level must take note of such activities and have make line between operations of various department.

Every company works for common goal of making profit, internal connectivity and communication is key to this however this communication must have lines drawn as every individual has his best of performance when given a free hand.

Looking at all bad!



Recently I have noticed that everyone is interested in looking at bad things around, I am seeing the post at LinkedIn which is shared by many people which goes like “What is bad about LinkedIn?” issue is we have learn to just see bad around us let it be things we use, it is understandable to the extent that we are complaining about the things physically we owe, virtual things like social media, but now we have also looking not only looking but just want to look at dreadful things about people around us!

Let it be office we compare colleagues, we compare other people on street, we just see one side what we have developed from our inner self.

Remember, things / people appear to as we presume about them to be.  Better we stop making presumptions and concentrate on our self, and contribute what good we can, by this we will see bad elements disappear by themselves.

For people who feel LinkedIn is having bad elements why are you guys here for then? Of course you saw some good elements too. Why no efforts were taken to write something good about this social media who is giving a platform to all for getting connected professionally.

No one will charge you even a penny to be good!

Before we say anything about things / people lets make a comment about our self.

Words go around and come back to us our deeds are always responded. Be good.

Thoughts of Young Entrepreneur

A young and talent individual who start his business after leaving his corporate job of meager salary wrote following on day one of his business:

Today I am free to choose my place to sit and explore the opportunities I always thought for, I thank to the people who motivated me by making it difficult for me to do job by doing office politics to extant of lowest level where I can’t think of to be. I thank them because they made me think the out of box & be entrepreneur, today I have no regrets of leaving the job though I lost a regular pay, I admire my mentors who supported and trained me during my work days with them, today I have no grudges with anyone who thought me as the obstacle of their way high, I wish them all the very luck for their future.

While working for companies I have always given the desired time dedication for the task assigned, however I really have not understand where I lost, being not involved in office politics I have now feel was a target for all non deliverable people, more to my surprise  why the people at higher management like to have such politics in the company what they gain, you hire a person to manage the office politics or to manage the work, why you guys don’t turn your ear deaf on complaints of any individual which comes to you without sufficient proof.

Older employee who are seniors to the newly join individual could be jealous of the new Manager who suddenly begins to question the works of older team mates, and can make a blunt remarks or rumors which can affect the job of this new employee without thinking of the family of others who are dependent on earnings of this individual.

Guys we were all hired to work in one office for a company who helps us fed our family in return of our honesty and hard work.

Just to satisfy your small personal interest, you are ready make someone lose his / her job what satisfaction you get of this?

Everyone who is not involved in office politics is not always as strong as I am to take a decision of business in short span of time.

Think of this fact many people even give up their life for your personal interest cases of suicide due to office politics are increasing in country.

Today I have given myself a target to create a place of work where stress will have no space to develop.
I have moved on with whatever you guys did to me. I forgive all for your deeds which made me suffer and to part away with my job, and pray that you will get forgiveness from you own soul by time you breathe your last.

Thanks for taking your time to read this and if one person involved in office politics changes his thought after my this note I will feel have initiated one revolution to give my country a new way of working professionals & better organizations.

The above words have put me in to the deep thoughts that what al stress working individuals are facing and have to undergo, why our organizations are giving space for such stress and political atmosphere why our HR can’t develop a program for making a great working atmosphere. Why give a chance of comparison in same rank of employees. When you expect growth employees also expect respect and growth at individual level.

I would also like to share words of One Mr. Mukund whose post on LinkedIn goes like this,

This is the company where the CMD, Rajiv Modi routinely abuses, humiliates and misbehaves with his employees. No one can disagree with him. He openly says, "Either get aligned to my thinking or leave tbe company." He calls people to office at 10pm or 11pm for meetings which at times continue well past mid night till 2 and then he would ask them to first send minutes of the meeting before they leave for home. Now a days, his son who is 15 year old, comes to office to review business performance. Am glad to have opted out. I walked off a meeting a. Every single senior officer of the company called me to say, "We are proud of you." Let's spread the message so that no other person is misled to join this unethical and toxic organisation.”

Missing Saturday.

Weekends are need of not only to spend some time in peace but also with family & friends, and the most preferred way is watching a good movie in near by multiplex, However the Prices at which tickets Popcorns now sold at these places are not allowing a middle class to enjoy that moment of peace.

Many things have been written & said in regards to souring Movie ticket prices & for Popcorn sold in multiplexes for Rs 300 and above.

This is very true that the multiplexes are cutting on the pockets of the common man in india in name of entertainment. We Indian are very fond of movies since time it was introduced in India.

Fact is that the 2 - 3 hours spent in the movie theater takes us to the wonderlands every things ends well in spite of having super tough situations these Hindi moves had huge impact on various generations time to time, and as we have our mind trained for chasing the things we like to have in our life which can be love to treasure any thing under the sky gets encourage form these movies.

Our thought process get new ideas and works more effectively after a good movie, and these multiplexes have encashing our small and evergreen mode of entertainment.

Whatever happen we will never stop watching movies. However we do some thing to bring the price of this entertainment in control.

A Meaningful day.

A week full of work & stress, it has now become a routine getting up in morning going to office working in a political atmosphere working as per instructions and repeating.

Guys what are we working for!
Is there any meaning other then earning bread for a family, yes this it self is the biggest reason, however think over what are we doing is having a meaning. if your answer is yes than my friend you are on the right path of life but if your answer is no, then we must seek that meaning with what we are doing.

Its not important that to give a meaning to your day you need to do any social service however  you at least need to serve your self your dignity & complete your duty.

Math behind all our sorrows lies with our acts, in today's world we have developed lot of expectations form people around us and when they fail to fulfill we suffer, definitely we can expect many thing form people nearby but by making them aware of what is expected and humans do errors.

When we realize our true self we expect less and give people a space required, the every relationship which breaks is because of over expectations & less faith.

Doing a bit for every one around us will will work as a ignite in relationships, for e.g. when have you last said your wife I love you. or when have you hold her hands and had a walk.

We have become accustom to our stress and more even try to search for stress instead of finding solutions I recently came across this Quote " Seeing the milk get sour, only those people get sad who does not know to prepare Paneer from it". it means only people who lacks the ability, creativity get sad seeing the small unfavourable situations.

One who learns get knowledge and know how he can turn the worst situations in his favour.

Rather than regretting we must work towards giving a meaning our day and before we sleep we must have a courage enough to stand in front of mirror and say I had a meaningful day.

Before it gets dark, live in some light!

Dynamics what we need to understand.


Mother Earth takes 24 hours to complete one rotation @ 1000 miles per hour, and in this fast moving world change is only dynamic. 

While reviewing the world markets which had a closed down almost in red on Friday 10.06.16, many had books their profits and many ha bought with a hope of new high seeing this as an opportunity to grab the good value stock.

We have got a habit of chasing things, we human are full of insecurity and therefore our mind acts in all the way to avoid any chance where we can loose our comfort.

Like an employees working in an firm get him self accommodated to the facilities that are provided by company to such an extend that  after certain years of his service he is not in position to do any other task than what ordered. Fear of losing the job and lack of self confidence is so deeply integrated in the mind that many have become 24/7 employees and have very less of no personal life & even do not wish to change the job because of fear. 

In this type of situation mind creates a bondage with things around and this become a comfort zone and does not allow one to try new things. However the day in life comes when you are forced to leave this comfort zone yes that is the time of retirement by that time many gets one more offer to get accommodated in same life for year or 2 more and later you are left out to do what ever you wish to do with age which has limitations on you physical abilities. many are are left with only option of yelling at their family members as they are sitting idle and have nothing to do other than watching TV and interfering in life of others.

Understanding the changes of life, and moving with time, learning new things, keeps you updated in this dynamic world and creates an opportunities which helps in transforming the life at any moment of time, it opens another door of opportunities when one is closed or is about to, also ensures the financial security.

Though the India is looking ahead of its economic reforms and efforts by our H'ble P.M. Sh. Narendra Modi towards making country a better economy on world map, but yet many of our people are facing job loss and sudden termination due to private companies not able to survive heat of competition sometimes, & have to shutdown. The employees of such companies are having very few options left after the job loss and are forced to opt for low paying jobs to survive.

Acche din for many people are yet to come.

It happens with most of us!

It happens with most of us, either early or late but it happens where the time comes to halt & we do not understand what next, is it end, or is it sign of new beginning!

“Before a door is closed almighty opens a new one” with this belief we continue our struggle, however it is also said that we won’t get more that what it’s destined & before the time comes”

Yes I believe that “Karma” defines our lives, all goods and bad, happening with us is somewhere connected to our deeds, however there are strong believers that “Karma” of 2 souls get combined and leads to a new journey of life which definitely be different that one if had been single or had a some other person as a soul mate.

Whenever a new soul joins our life they bring there “Karma” deeds along, and whenever someone departs from us they take away the effects of their deeds and luck.

However as humans we can’t always depends on luck for our life and hence we work to survive.

And during this journey we learn, we experience and then the time comes wish to share our learning’s and experience in hope that our experiences will help others to take care in their journey. 

However this will not help others to reduce the errors of their life, because everyone has their own ego which leads them to new learning’s and new experiences and new lessons of life.  “Time changes characters changes however stories just remains same”.
